What is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is a regulation of the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission intended to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU) and became law in the UK on 25th May 2018.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we( Astraeus Electronics ) are required to publish information about what data we collect, why we need to store it, and your rights under the GDPR legislation.
In these matters we are subject to the rulings of the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent authority set up to uphold information rights and data privacy for individuals.
Confidentiality?
We will always treat all data we receive and works submitted as strictly confidential and not subject to transfer or exchange with third parties( other than for reasons given below ).

Basis of and scope of data storage:
We store and process data only as agreed by the client or as required in order to perform services requested by the client. We regard all details we do store as confidential.
We do not engage in any profiling activities though general web host traffic monitoring activities for improving the website may be active. This information/data is not for external 3rd party use.
We never share data with 3rd parties (e.g. for advertising, marketing, data analysis or similar).Information would be exchanged with a 3rd party when that is a necessary requirement for any work to be undertaken and with express agreement between the two initiating parties.
How we obtain data:
Data we hold will consist solely of information that you provide to us (e.g. contact details you enter on forms or correspondence), or is determined through your direct interaction with our website (e.g. your IP address in respect of web traffic statistics ). This latter category of data is not stored locally but inherent in the services of the web hosting provider.

Your name. Company name (if applicable). Email address.
This is used so that you can be contacted following a web form enquiry or communication beyond that initial response.
Any enquiries we have received via email, web-form or post.
Retention policy:
We retain personal data that you supply for record purposes only should further communication be received in future related to an enquiry or work undertaken. Data that is not stored remotely at the web hosting service shall be stored securely and under protection of anti-virus/encryption software.
Your rights
Right of access and rectification
If you are a client/enquirer and have need to check any information held about you, or need to correct inaccurate information, please send a request using the web form or if already in direct email contact via email.
Right to erasure:
If you decide that you no longer need our services and want the data we hold to be deleted, you may request that action at any time and any records appertaining to yourself shall be permanently deleted. This shall not apply to any financial documents( i.e. copies of invoices for work undertaken etc ) that require to be held for a period of time determined by HMRC or other government bodies.
If you are not yet a client, but have been in contact via web form/email, and wish to have any emails or form submissions enquiries you have made erased please contact the company using the web form and all relevant data shall be deleted.
